I dont even know why I got into this conversation....If I remember correctly, People who tried to settle in the desert died. Heres the only possible way Rurik could be elonian:
A settler from the crystal desert traveled north to Ascalon, and started a family. Their great whatever grandson was Rurik.
How would the sword of gotten there?
After Ruriks death, someone must of stolen Rurik's sword and somehow left it in the crystal desert.

Alright, lemme see if I can begin tie it all together, as someone was doing before:
A long time ago, there was this little baby in the Crystal Desert. A Forgotten picked him up, brought him to other humans in the Crystal Desert (The Elonians). The baby grew up, mated with an Elonian, moved to what is now Ascalon. *Fill in stuff here*
After Rurik died, a dwarf picked up his sword. He gave it to you, and you carried it with you for quite a while. Eventually, you arrived in Amnoon, where you dropped the sword and that ghost that you get the quest from found it. When you put the sword in its rightful place (Rurik's great great great great grandfather's grave), the Lich stole it. Then he gave it to Undead Rurik.

Isnt like half the kings guards equipped with FDS in the cutscene at the end of Nolani Academy? Are they all from Elona too?

How can the prince of Ascalon be Elonian? It just doesn't make sense.

It was the Elonian milkman at Ascalon Palace.

Anyway, the quest was probably made to give us a clue about Rurik, imho

That picture is just a skin of the "Fiery Dragon Sword" but it dosnt mean that its the sword I get tons of them just off monsters and not only in Elonia, they just used the same skin for the quest, this thread seems silly.

The same way most of the English nobility is actually French. Or by contrast, how so many Chinese elites back in imperial times had Korean blood through their maternal line.

No, you dont get his sword. If you did have it, it would say somewhere, probably frost gate cutscene. Was it there? no.

See, the creators are trying to hide all these things that you don't see. What you don't see in the cutscene before he dies is when he says "Save yourselves" he throws his FDS at you and you run away!

Yes, ANet may of tried to hide stuff in the storyline. People on GwG have found almost everything that ANet attempted to "hide" and more. Some people spend hours a day trying to figure things out. You see an FDS in a quest and presume its Ruriks.

This argument is literally going nowhere..... =\ Instead of just saying "cuz its his" try to make a valid point. Also, if it was ruriks sword, im 99.999999999999% that somebody would already of found this out.

Alright, the guy you get the quest from is obviously trying to help out the Lich too.
He tells you to bring Rurik's sword to some "Ceremonial" resting place... when in fact it is so the Lich can nab it for himself and give it to his über Rurik Undead Pet
